periostin(POSTN)

Periostin is a secreted, homodimeric protein that belongs to the periostin family of the FAS1 superfamily of molecules. It is a TGF-beta inducible molecule that serves as both an adhesion molecule and tumor suppressor. It is synthesized by smooth muscle cells, fibroblasts and osteoblasts, as well as in the periosteum and periodontal ligament.

Lyophilized from a 0.2 μm filtered solution of 20mM Tris,150mM NaCl,pH8.0 .

<1.0 EU per μg protein as determined by the LAL method.

Lyophilized protein should be stored at <-20°C, though stable at room temperature for 3 weeks. Reconstituted protein solution can be stored at 4-7°C for 2-7 days.
