The hexapetide HAV6 (Ac-SHAV6SS-NH2) regulates the expression of genes, the products of which are involved in E-cadherin synthesis and ensure adhesion of the intestinal mucosa cells (Caco-2 line). A change in expression of these genes under the influence of HAV6 is followed by a decrease in E-cadherin synthesis by 20%.
