Coatings containing the peptide Tet213 (KRWWKWWRRC) demonstrated antimicrobial activity against S. aureus and P. aeruginosa bacterial strains while remaining cytocompatible towards MG-63 osteoblast-like cells. A similar coating loaded with HHC36 (KRWWKWWRR) did not interfere with bone growth around press-fit grafts in a rabbit femoral defect model.
